The idea of Headline Poetry is to take a Headline from a newspaper, and, by using the letters of the words that make up the Headline as the first letters of new words, to generate a poem which is relevant to the original story and headline .

Jeanne...it will be interesting to see whether newspaper headlines in different western democracies follow similar pathways and whether the poems I generate from here in Oz are comprehensible to USA.
